Our sustainability policy
We take a clear position when it comes to reducing footprint and have been operating a sustainability challenge with ourselves since 2015. We have set ourselves challenging goals in this policy, divided in various themes. We would like to take you through our sustainability policy.
Our four sustainability pillars
1. Making production kitchen more sustainable
Our great pride is the production kitchen which we have designed according to the latest sustainability initiatives. The floor is made of recycled plastic, all light is LED and we have centralized the cooling system which makes massive saving.
2. Packaging materials
Our packaging materials and disposables such as plates, cutlery and catering boxes are made of 100% biodegradable material. A great step we believe. This year’s challenge is to reduce the consumption of disposables by 30%.
3. Waste disposal and cleaning supplies
Making our work processes and materials more sustainable is an ongoing process. Wherever possible, we opt for a sustainable alternative. For example, we are currently in discussion with various parties in the Netherlands who can provide us with major savings in waste processing by implementing several sustainable measures. We also choose 100% biodegradable agents for our hygiene and cleaning solutions.
4. Local and seasonal
In agreement with the customer, we purchase part of our assortment from local farmers. For example, we buy our milk products from organic dairy farm and care farm ‘Ons Verlangen’. In addition, our chef bases the menus -where possible- on seasonal products to limit the import costs of the ingredients.
